The Sabelt Silver Formula 6 Point Harness, part number 50A622FU3F6, is a bolt-in 6-point formula harness approved to FIA 8853-2016. Shoulder and lap webbing are 2 inch. Clip buckle. HANS specific. Available in black, blue and red.

Silver series hardware and webbing sit above the Steel tier in the Sabelt range: lighter aluminium components and webbing produced to tighter tolerances. In a single-seater where cockpit weight is managed closely, the Silver harness reduces mass compared to the Steel Formula options.

Formula application covers the specific angles and geometry of a single-seater monocoque. HANS specific means the shoulder routing is set for use with a HANS device, which should be used with this harness.

At £280 this is £76 more than the Steel Formula Basic or Mid at £204. The step up is the Silver hardware quality. For drivers who want to go further up the weight reduction ladder, the Ultralight Formula (SABCCA622FRUN, £248) uses Ultralight webbing and is actually slightly less expensive than the Silver Formula, with the trade-off being webbing grade versus hardware quality.

Above the Silver Formula, the Gold Super Formula (393G622FU6F, £2,275) and Ultralight Super Formula (172525, £1,900) are the premium formula harness options with quick-release buckles and components built to top-level single-seater requirements.

Does it work with a HANS device?
Yes: only 6-point FIA harnesses work with a HANS device, and this belt qualifies. If you run a device, check whether you want the HANS-specific shoulder cut and ask us which suits your setup.

What does it mount to?
A harness needs proper anchor points: a harness bar, cage, or the car’s designed mounting points, plus a seat with the right slots. Tell us the car and seat and we will confirm the mounting plan before you order.
